- Prepare for your sporting event
- Catch up with your lagging components of fitness
- Improve strength, power, speed on the specific movements
- Prepare and keep extra fit for the active season

For any sport an appropriate level of conditioning is required. The fitter you are the better you can perform and use the skills you have got.
The fact is that there are very different tasks and goals in different sports – therefore improving your conditioning in a particular sport you need to work on fitness components and movements that are specific to the sport.
For example, the ratio of how much cardiovascular fitness and muscle endurance is needed in two diverse sports – football (soccer) and martial arts. Footballers in comparison to fighters need much more cardiovascular stamina to last 90min. of running whereas fighters need much more muscle endurance to be able to keep up the explosive bursts of energy for few minutes.
