Natural bodybuilding = bodybuilding WITHOUT illegal drugs – steroids etc.

Do steroids enhance muscle growth, strength, recovery?

Yes they do and they do a lot.

Why on earth natural bodybuilding then!!?

Here's why:

"The Russian Roulette" of anabolic steroids (especially when "played" inappropriately) can affect:

  • sexual potency
  • lead to premature baldness (for men)
  • heart attacks
  • strokes
  • liver tumors
  • kidney failure
  • serious psychiatric problems
  • alter sex characteristics of men
    • enlarged nipples
    • development of breast tissue etc
  • alter sex characteristics of women
    • jaw size
    • chin enlargement
    • increased hairiness etc
  • stop teenagers height growth
  • rise cholesterol level (may result in cardiovascular problems)
  • compromise immune system
  • increase skin oiliness
  • raise risk of contracting or transmitting HIV and hepatitis due to steroids being injected.

If that wasn't enough, there's the post steroid cycle results maintenance issue - you may find out there is no big prize for playing this "game" after all (when the reason of all growth – steroids – is gone, muscle shrinks back to what natural genetic potential is, in order to maintain the size of the natural potential you will have to know how to do natural bodybuilding and if you don't then you won't...). Of course you can choose the easy way to keep the size: take steroids regularly – play "Russian Roulette" regularly...

Anyone up for it!!?

You'd think those negatives mentioned above repelled everyone from a positive answer, but here's a typical situation from a gym:

A newbie in a gym can see some guys working out with weights, it seems they are trying very hard. Those enthusiasts must be new here too as their body size is similar to mine, he thinks. Surprisingly, it appears they do it for few years already...

He finds out that after trying "EVERYTHING" (advices from magazines, internet etc.) they are about to get some "juice" to finally make a proper progress. That's been a useful conversation our newbie thinks, he won't waste years and going to get some "gear" right away.

So here we have few typical potential amateur steroid users.

Do they have any alternatives?

Yes, that is Natural Bodybuilding.

Let's face it though, the majority of gym users don't achieve their goals –here's why – while they're trying "EVERYTHING" and blaming their poor genetics there are simple mistakes made:

  • wrong diet (wrong calories amount, meals frequency, timing, nutrients, balance of nutrients etc.)
  • wrong training (wrong exercises, range of repetitions, sets, intensity, absence of periodisation, too much or lack of variety etc.)
  • wrong approach to resting (wrong intervals between training days, lack of sleep at night etc.)

Misleading fusion of bodybuilding and natural bodybuilding

Personal Trainer Rolandas –
natural bodybuilder

Often in people's minds there is no separation between bodybuilding and natural bodybuilding. The ignoring of an elephant in a room gets many beginners confused and fooled. Many skinny teenagers starting building their bodies dream of 55cm biceps and 180kg bench press... Who else are to follow if not the pros who have it all? Inexperienced beginners read bodybuilding articles in magazines and internet about the best training routines, diets of the top professional bodybuilders. It looks obvious that those training, dieting secrets should be the ones to try for themselves. If only there wasn't that elephant in the room... Ok, let's point at it now – yes, people, bodybuilding pros are so freaky big and strong because of steroids. They do have excellent genetics but without steroids they would be nothing of how they are. What gives result to them would destroy amateur non steroid bodybuilder. Nothing matches –  completely different volumes of training, resting periods between training sessions, reps, number of sets, intensity – everything has to be done different by average gym user and steroid user.

There are other kind of people who get confused in a different way by not separating bodybuilding and natural bodybuilding. Often personal trainers can hear a worry expressed – I don't want to get too big. What could be done to avoid such problem..? Imagine, you  do some biceps curls and... oops, the next day you're too big already... Bodybuilders with steroids brought the understanding that muscle is easy and fast to gain. The fact is that  training naturally the lean-no fat muscle is very hard to gain – strict genetic limits are set. So the last thing to worry about is getting too big. You will definitely have enough time to see if you’re too muscular already or not (even if your perfect body is somewhat of Kate Moss shape). Training NOT TOO HARD to avoid TOO MUCH MUSCLE equals to LAZY TRAINING. That’s right nothing more but lazy, inefficient training.

So when done properly, NATURAL BODYBUILDING is the way to a healthy, strong, powerful, good size, ripped body with no health risks or side effects.

As it is achieved in a natural way, by having a well balanced lifestyle (training, correct eating, resting), you don't have to be afraid of the "saggy chest and arms day" when steroid injections have to STOP FOR GOOD. Instead, it can continue for as long as it is important for you to LOOK GOOD.
